Product Info: This traditional Italian offering is at home in soups, salads and side dishes. It's smaller size permits it to be used in delicate cooking situations. It is a great substitute for Acini de Pepe. It can also be used to make a light risotto. The toasted nature of this product lends itself well to use with any of our extensive selection of Wild or Exotic dried mushrooms.Fregola Sarda is a durum wheat toasted pasta from the Italian Island of Sardinia. The rough texture and toasted flavor of this unique pasta make it a versatile delight. Suggested Use: Use anywhere you would typically use Acini de Pepe, or in salads Ingredients: Durum Wheat Semolina. (Contains wheat). Basic Preparations: Rinse in cold water. Boil in salted water or stock for about 15 minutes or until al dente, drain and serve immediately. One cup dry yields two cups cooked. |
