Also Known As: KOKUHO ROSE RICE, KOKUHO ROSE

Product Info:
Kokuho Rose Rice is a premium medium grain rice, slightly translucent white in color, that was developed by Koda Farms in the late 1950s. Located in the San Joaquin Valley of California, the family-owned farm's rice breeding program fine-tuned this varietal to best suit the micro-climate and soil type of the area. Kokuho translates to Treasure of the Country. While this rice is often used in Sushi, it is also suitable for any other dish

Suggested Use:
Great for sushi, but use in any recipe that calls for rice.

Ingredients:
Rice

Basic Preparations:
Combine 1.5 cups of raw rice and 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Let the rice stand in the water 20 - 30 minutes. Do not drain. Place over heat and quickly bring to a boil. Cover the pan, reduce the heat to low and simmer for approximately 20 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Remove the pan from heat, lid intact, and allow the rice to rest undisturbed for a minimum of 15 minutes. Remove the lid, and gently fluff with a fork. Replace the lid and allow rice to rest for another 5 - 10 minutes. (These rest periods are essential and aid in the development of an overall uniform texture).Yield: approximately 3.5 cups cooked rice
