Product Info: Semolina (Triticum Durum) is not truly a grain, but is the roughly milled endosperm of Durum Wheat. Semolina is most commonly used in the manufacturing of pasta. Semolina is high in Gluten therefore, it is high in protein. Our Semolina is #1 grade, first press, unbleached. Suggested Use: Use it to thicken soups or stews, as a base for souffl. Simmer briefly with raisins and honey for a hot cereal. Cooked Semolina can also be prepared like Polenta. The wide variety of uses for Semolina makes it difficult to give specific preparation instructions. Ingredients: Semolina, Niacin, Ferrous Sulfate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid (contains Wheat). Basic Preparations: Add directly to recipe. Semolina is commonly used as flour for baking breads and making pastas. |
